Scholarship Details
The Washington Semester Program (WSP) offers need-based scholarships each semester with an early-bird deadline before the program application, and another cycle later in the application process.
- Scholarship applicants must be a current student at USC or another South Carolina institution.
- A student’s eligibility for a scholarship does not determine their status in the program (i.e., if you receive a scholarship, that does not mean you are automatically accepted into the program).
- Keep in mind that these scholarships do not cover all expenses associated with the program, and you must be prepared to cover the remaining costs.
Spring 2027 WSP Application Deadlines
The early-bird scholarship deadline is approximately two weeks before the application deadline each semester, giving students the opportunity to learn about their eligibility before completing the program application process.
- September 9: Early-Bird Scholarship Deadline*
- September 15: Early-Bird Scholarship Notification
- September 20: Washington Semester Program Application Deadline
- October 4: Deadline for selected WSP participants to apply for a program scholarship.
*Note: You will still need to complete your Washington Semester Program application after submitting your scholarship application.
