Digital Signage Requests – McCausland College of Arts and Sciences

Digital boards across the college share timely information via large-format displays. These signs primarily target:

  • Current students
  • Faculty and staff
  • Visitors, including prospective students and families

The digital signage network features 42-inch monitors strategically placed for high visibility throughout the college's buildings.

Purpose and Use

McCausland College digital signs are used to promote:

  • College-specific events
  • Official announcements at the college and university levels

Note: Due to limited space, we cannot accept requests from non-McCausland College departments or organizations.

Submission & Contact

Please contact Bryan Gentry or Kaye Hayes with questions about digital signage, or to submit a digital sign for display.

Send your finalized, error-free sign at least one week prior to the desired display date.

Guidelines for Creating Effective Digital Signs

Keep in mind: digital signs are like billboards — viewers only glance at them for a few seconds.

Best Practices:

  • Keep text minimal and to the point
  • Use strong visuals to grab attention
  • Include a short, readable URL if directing viewers online (submit a short URL request if needed)
  • Avoid advertising individual courses (focus on broader college events or announcements)
  • Follow the university’s brand guidelines

Proofreading Tip: Have at least one other person in your department review the slide before submission.

Design Specifications

To ensure your slide displays correctly:

  • Size: 1920 x 1080 pixels
  • Resolution: Up to 96 dpi
  • File size: Up to 700k
  • Format: .jpeg
  • Colors: Use the university’s official color palette

Consider using the university’s digital signage templates for consistency.

Challenge the conventional. Create the exceptional. No Limits.
