Costs

Program Fee: $4500 (subject to change)
Program fee includes airfare to and from the U.S. to Malawi, but does not include transportation to/from the departure airport, tuition, the study abroad fee or vaccines.

Airfare Varies Flights to and from the U.S. to Malawi are included in the program fee.  Students responsible for own transportation to/from departure airport, typically Washington D.C. (Dulles).
Study Abroad Application $225.00 Fee to the Education Abroad Office for administrative preparation.
Tuition Varies Students should check with the Bursar’s Office to see how much this 3-credit hour course will charge them in tuition.
International Insurance $37.13 Fee that the Education Abroad office adds to each students bill who studies abroad.  The policy provides medical and mental health coverage, but it is NOT trip interruption insurance.
Vaccines specific to country Varies Cost(s) are dependent on recommendations from U.S. State Department and consultation with medical professional.

Experience firsthand, some of the challenges facing citizens in Malawi, Africa, connect with local organizations and engage in meaningful discussions with their leaders, and participate in important service projects in local African communities. Discover the magnificent beauty of the people and the countryside (no tour buses for us!) and be immersed in hands-on international service learning and leadership activities while also participating in fun and exhilarating travel and adventure, including an African safari and an overnight excursion to Lake Malawi, one of the largest lakes in the world.
