The demand for effective project planning, execution and overseeing deliverables has become more critical than ever in higher education. The Division of Student Affairs and Academic Support encourages its staff to be a part of this valuable and timely training on developing effective skill sets to successfully execute and complete projects within your department and in collaboration with others. Discover how to set up projects for success, establish and maintain effective communication, utilize time management and prioritization to ensure optimum results, and integrate technology to assist the process.

Join the Office of Parent and Family Programs to learn best practices for interacting with parents, families, and supporters as we begin a new academic year. From move-in to Family Weekend, expect increased in-person interactions, emails, and phone calls. Embrace these opportunities to coach families on how to best support their students. Engage with our Gamecock families to showcase our commitment to student care and help them understand campus resources and our mission.

The conference theme, "Aspire and Advance," offers something for everyone, and all division staff members and graduate students are encouraged to attend.

All new graduate assistants and interns within the division, regardless of program of study, are invited to orientation each August. The program helps new graduate assistants and interns create connections across the division and learn about professional development opportunities available to them through the Division of Student Affairs and Academic Support.

At the beginning of each semester, New Employee Orientation helps new employees create connections across the division, chat with the division’s associate vice presidents and learn about professional development opportunities available to them through the Division of Student Affairs and Academic Support.
