Bio
Kate Dabbs serves as Chief Community Officer at Abundance Capital, where she leads community engagement, donor relations, and storytelling efforts that connect the firm’s mission with its growing network of abundance angels, community foundations, and civic partners.
Kate first came to Greenville to attend Furman University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree before completing a master’s degree at Clemson University. Since then, she has built her career at the intersection of philanthropy, communications, and community leadership. She began in the nonprofit sector with Greenville Forward, advanced into philanthropy through Furman University’s development office, and gained corporate experience in marketing at Coldwell Banker Caine before moving into marketing agency leadership and consulting. Across these roles, she has helped organizations and investors align resources and relationships for lasting community impact.
She is deeply engaged in civic life, serving on many nonprofit and foundation boards, including the Community Foundation of Greenville.
When she isn’t working with investors and community leaders, Kate enjoys family life in Greenville with her husband and children.
