Background
Prior to joining USC, Dr. Peluso received his PhD from Penn State, remained there as a research professor for several years, and later taught at Manhattan University in New York. His doctoral research focused on experimental studies of combustion instabilities in gas turbines, and he has also investigated other aspects of combustion, including turbulent flame dynamics and detonations in gaseous mixtures for power generation. Currently, Dr. Peluso researches complex fluid flows, specifically particle migration in suspensions of neutrally-buoyant solid particles.
