About

Program: PGY1 / PGY2 Community-Based Pharmacy Administration & Leadership Residency

Location: Greer, South Carolina

Background: Associate Family Health Center is in Greer, SC on a seven million square foot campus for a major European auto manufacturer that employs over 11,000 people. Operations of the health center began 17 years ago in a small modular trailer and have grown to a 25,000 sq ft medical and wellness center. We are an accredited Patient Centered Medical Home and have received numerous awards since inception including the American Pharmacists Association Pinnacle Award in 2019.

AFHC serves as a one-stop primary care center for international and domestic BMW Associates, eligible Retirees, and their enrolled family members. The health center houses integrated Primary Care, Occupational Health, Dental, Vision, and Physical Therapy clinics, allowing patients to schedule routine check-ups and receive specialized care - all within the same convenient location.

BMW AFHC is staffed by a comprehensive team of health care professionals, including pharmacists, physicians, nurse practitioners, physical therapists, optometrists, dentists, and ancillary support personnel. Working within this accredited patient-centered medical home, the Resident will collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to deliver outpatient care, wellness coaching, and chronic disease management such as but not limited to diabetes, hypertension, COPD/asthma, dyslipidemia, obesity, and smoking cessation. Our pharmacy practice is a hybrid model of full-service community pharmacy practice coupled with ambulatory care.
