Bio
| Background: | Dr. Chetta grew up in Georgia and attended medical school at the Medical College of Georgia. He then attended the University of Michigan for his training in the Integrated pathway for Plastic Surgery Residency. During that time, he developed an interest in surgical education, global surgery, and microsurgery. To further develop these interests, he pursued a reconstructive microsurgery fellowship at Stanford University. Following his training, he was an attending surgeon at The Ohio State University where he joined a high volume microsurgery team leading the research and clinical pursuits in breast re-sensation. In 2022, he was recruited to Prisma health to develop a comprehensive breast cancer and reconstruction program bringing advanced microsurgical techniques including DIEP flap breast reconstruction, extremity salvage, and complex reconstruction to the Upstate of South Carolina. |
