Film and Media Performance. Associate Professor. MFA in Acting, DePaul University. BFA in Performance, Jascksonville University.
Dustin Whitehead is an actor and filmmaker from Chicago, IL. Dustin can be seen in numerous independent films as well as the nationally televised shows Chicago PD, Chicago Fire, and Your Worst Nightmare. Some Chicago theatre credits include Steppenwolf, The Goodman, Chicago Dramatists, American Theatre Company, Lakeside Shakespeare, and Congo Square. In addition to many years in the theatre, he has made multiple independent films. His most recent feature film, The Grand Strand, screened at multiple festivals including New Orleans, Richmond, and Beverly Hills (Jury Award: Best Film). He teaches acting at The University of South Carolina. Directing credits at USC: Much Ado About Nothing, The Complete Works of Shakespeare: Abridged, and The Importance of Being Earnest. Dustin received his BFA in Performance from Jacksonville University and MFA in Acting from The Theatre School at DePaul University. He also studied filmmaking in Singapore at NYU Tisch Asia.
