Anna Pillot

Anna Pillot is a dance artist, teacher, aerialist, lighting designer, and technical director. Her choreography has been featured nationally and internationally, notably on the 2023 Prague Quadrennial Studio Stage. Anna enjoys exploring the ways in which technology and dance intersect, coexist, and diverge. This research led her to deepen her exploration of lighting design, projection mapping, video editing, and motion capture technology, and to discover enjoyment in supporting the production needs of other artists in the field. Anna frequently creates new work with collaborator Caroline Butcher. Presently, Anna works professionally as a technical director (DanceAspen; The Conversation Series: Stitching the Geopolitical Quilt to Re-Body Belonging), production manager, stage manager, and lighting designer, delving into projection mapping, video editing, and emergent technology. She enjoys imagining dance in spaces both on and off the proscenium stage, as well as exploring how technology and dance coexist and diverge.  Anna holds an MFA in dance from CU Boulder.
