Courses are offered to a wide range of age groups through ScienceLab, Nature Based Inquiry and the South Carolina Academy of Science. The center also offers training and professional development to K-12 science teachers.
We offer summer programs, annual events and classes during the year for young students. Some of those are listed here, but please contact individual departments and programs to see what additional programs might be available.

This annual competition stimulates interest in mathematics and recognizes South Carolina high school students who exhibit exceptional talent.
This K-12 outreach program pairs volunteers with teachers in elementary, middle and high schools to enhance the concepts that teachers cover in class.
Japanese Saturday School helps children of Japanese residents stay in touch with their language and culture through traditional activities and language instruction.
We work to make students and faculty aware of volunteer opportunities that use their Spanish skills to serve the Hispanic communities of South Carolina
The USC Drama Conservatory is a drama intensive for rising first through 12th graders.
Classes for children age 5-18 are taught by USC art education students to provide experiences involving the production, evaluation and appreciation of art.
