Enrollment Requirements

Your enrollment status in part determines your eligibility for financial aid. If you drop courses or withdraw from classes, it can affect the total amount of aid you receive. For financial aid purposes, your enrollment status at a USC Palmetto College Campus is determined as follows:

12 or more Full time
9 - 11.5 Three quarter time
6 - 8.5 Half time
Fewer than 6 credits Less than half time

Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG) Grant amount prorated based on enrolled hours when less than full time
Federal Work-Study At least half time
Federal Subsidized, Unsubsidized, and Parent PLUS Loans At least half time
SC Needs Based Grant At least half-time
Palmetto Fellows Full Time
SC Legislative Incentive for Future Excellence Scholarship (LIFE) Full time
SC Lottery Tuition Assistance At least half time
Private loans Varies by lender
