What's your favorite thing about Columbia?
My favorite thing about Columbia, SC is the atmosphere. Everyone is super welcoming and there is always an event going on that brings people together. Keeping up to date with five points and the various shops and pop-ups is what has kept me in the loop!
What are your hobbies or things you like to do?
My hobbies include reading, volunteering, and watching movies. My favorite pastime when I’m not studying or working on projects is catching up on Netflix’s newest releases. My current favorite show is Dexter, and favorite book is “The Five People You Meet in Heaven.”
What has surprised you the most about Nursing school?
What surprised me the most about nursing school is the number of resources given to us by the college and our professors. They go above and beyond to ensure students have what we need, no matter what it may be. My professors have truly poured their love for nursing into each student that has entered this program.
What is an accomplishment in college that you are very proud of?
My favorite accomplishment thus far in college has been being awarded the top moral debater in my philosophy course. I have always had passion for all things ethics and morals, so having this class brought me that satisfaction outside of a typical nursing course. It has been something I greatly admire about myself.
Why did you choose USC?
I chose the University of South Carolina because I fell in love with this place when I toured. My older friends let me come and visit them when I was still in high school, and I honestly didn’t want to leave. Three years and counting and I still love it here!
What advice would you give incoming students?
My advice would be to find your studying groove early so that you don’t have to change it up and confuse yourself later. This was something I struggled with and have finally nailed!
