Q.  Do I need to report my ASPIRE grant?

A.  Yes. All internal support should be reported.

Q.  I’m in a no-cost extension in an award. Do I still need to include that award in my Other Support, and is it included in my effort calculations?

A.  Yes, the grant should be included, and yes, it should also be calculated in your total effort. NIH and most other sponsors will not allow you to be named as someone who worked on an award without listing some quantifiable amount of effort on annual progress reports. Your Other Support document should match this level of effort.

Q.  My senior/key personnel include “Other Significant Contributors." Are they required to submit Other Support information?

A.  No. Other Support information is requested for:

All individuals designated in an application as senior/key personnel, except

•Program Directors, training faculty, and other individuals involved in the oversight of training grants
•Individuals categorized as Other Significant Contributors
 

All senior/key personnel, excluding consultants, in progress reports when there has been a change in active other support, except

•Program Directors, training faculty, and other individuals involved in the oversight of training grants

Q.  I have a second office location that I use for work not related to this grant. Do I need to report that?

A.  Yes. In-kind contributions that are not intended for use on the project/proposal that the Other Support form is related to must be reported in the document.

Q.  Do I need to report my UofSC start-up package?

A.  No. Start-up packages from UofSC do not need to be included; however, if you have access to any other start-up funds at another institution, those funds should be reported.
